The NFL season is soon to begin! Here's 5 former Tigers to keep an eye on:

Cam Newton - QB - Carolina Panthers
The former National Champion and Heisman winner enters a questionable season as Newton is recovering from a shoulder injury. Cam won the league MVP in 2015 but has yet to prove he's still that kind of player. For Cam Newton, it's clearly a make or break year. If things start of bumpy for Newton, 2019 3rd round draft pick Will Grier could get his shot at starting for the Panthers. But none the less, Cam Newton will be a definite player to watch for Auburn fans.

Dee Ford - DE - San Francisco 49ers
Dee Ford struck gold in 2018 with the Kansas City Chiefs finishing the season with 13 sacks. Ford made a name for himself last year in the NFL so this year expect much from the former 1st round draft pick.

Braden Smith - OT - Indianapolis Colts
Entering only his second season, Braden Smith looks to have a breakout year in 2019. The former 2nd round draft pick was a heavy weapon on the O-Line for the Colts as he successfully blocked notable NFL veterans including future Hall of Famer, J.J. Watt. Keep an eye on Braden Smith this year. He's wearing #72.

Kerryon Johnson - RB - Detroit Lions
Kerryon Johnson became a rookie sensation when he surprised fans with long runs and shifty moves. He models himself after New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell who waits for the whole to open and bursts through. Kerryon finished with a total of 641 yards and 3 touchdowns in his explosive rookie season. The NFL clearly thinks highly of the Lions' franchise RB, so don't miss him in 2019.

Jarrett Stidham - QB - New England Patriots
Jarrett Stidham was projected to be a 1st round pick before having a rough junior season with Auburn. He was taken in the 4th round by the reigning Super Bowl Champs. Although Stidham won't have a chance at starting until the great Tom Brady retires, be sure to watch him in the preseason. People are already saying Stidham has a pro level arm. Keep an eye out for the former Auburn QB.
