A message to the Oregon Fansided page:

Camden Ellis - June 29, 2019

Quite recently an article written by James Vos, an Oregon Sports writer who's linked to the Oregon Fansided page, was released stating that he'd found weaknesses in Auburn Football through Auburn hype videos, and Auburn social media. Things that he stated in the article were extremely offensive to Auburn and would even trigger the most patient Auburn fan. If you'd like to view the article for your self, there's a link at the bottom of this page. So with that, we have a little something to say to Mr. James Vos and the Oregon Fansided page in general.

The first thing he mentioned in the article was that if you refereed to defensive end Big Kat Bryant as Mark Bryant which comes from his original name, Markaviest, he will clam up. This theory isn't just off, it's way off. So Mr. Vos, why don't you call Big Kat "Mark" to his face? I don't think you realize that Big Kat doesn't just dislike being called "Mark", he hates it. So if Oregon's football team took a stab at Big Kat during the season opener in Dallas, it would make him very angry. So don't be surprised if Big Kat goes off and racks up quite a few sacks vs Oregon because of this. And by the way Mr. Vos, you're about the only person in the entire United States who thinks Big Kat is a horrible name. You can't say that Big Kat isn't a killer name for a defensive end and a football player in general.

Another thing Vos stated was that Auburn was lacking inspiration to all of 'The Ride' episodes. Stating that the Ride For The Brand slogan is lacking inspiration. While Gus Malzahn is on the hot seat and Auburn will be starting a freshman, there's plenty of inspiration in everything Auburn does and displays. So don't be saying we don't have inspiration. That would be like saying Mohamed Ali wasn't the greatest boxer of all time. Or like stating that Tiger Woods was just an average golfer. Or even that Zion wasn't worthy of being the #1 pick. And last but not least that Bo Jackson wasn't one of the greatest dual-sport athletes of all time.

And lastly, Vos decided to beat up on Gus Malzahn. Yes he's on the hot seat. But how do you make fun of Gus trying to become more open to players? How do you make fun of a coach trying to become a better coach? Truthfully, and I say this with all the respect in the world for Jarrett Stidham, that it was Jarrett Stidham's fault we lost to Tennessee. Not Gus' fault. We beat the same team that beat Ohio State by 29, 63-14. Gus was calling the plays then. Gus will be calling the plays against Oregon on August 31.

So I say all of this in defense of Auburn. Auburn fans are known for class. But when someone says something that offensive to your team, you've got to step up. And I have to say that Oregon is trying to poke at anything they can because they know Auburn has the advantage. On January 10th, 2011, Auburn beat Oregon 22-19 with a walk off field goal to win the National Championship. If Oregon for what ever reason applies what James Vos said, they're going to get hit hard. Auburn plays physical. We have ever since Coach Shug Jordan. We're not stopping anytime soon.

Warriors take chance on Malik Dunbar, agrees to sign him to summer league team

Golden State's depth at SF is a little shallow now with the loss of Kevin Durant to free agency. So they unexpectedly signed former Auburn SF Malik Dunbar to the Warriors' Summer League team. If Dunbar's performance is solid in the Summer League, the Warriors will likely sign him to their roster. #AUNextLevel

Kerryon ready for second season

Former Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson had a strong rookie season. He's ready for a dominant second season. Johnson is listed as one of the best running + receiving backs in the league and is ready for an impressive breakout season. Last year he became the first Detroit running back since Reggie Bush to scrape up 100+ yards in a game. Johnson showed his fantastic skill at Auburn in 2017. Buckle up NFL fans! You're about to see a whole lotta Kerryon Johnson!

Tigers tabbed #8 in USA Today's final rankings

Auburn Baseball was ranked as high as #8 in USA Today's final rankings after a sweet CWS season. Congrats Tigers! #UnfinishedBusiness

Panthers to be featured in All or Nothing

The Carolina Panthers will be featured in the show All or Nothing, a show that takes you inside NFL teams' journey. It will premiere on July 19th. Don't miss the journey of Cam Newton and the Panthers!

Now or never feel to Cam Newton and Panthers

Ever since Cam's successful 2015 MVP season, Cam and the Panthers in general have significantly struggled. It seems as if every year there's an excitement of hope for the former Auburn quarterback. Why? Because Cam Newton is a good athlete. But why has every year since 2015 been a bust? Because Cam Newton's rhythm dies when under pressure and he has dealt with injuries over the past few years. Cam has unleashed a new throwing motion because of recent shoulder surgery. One that is more equipped to him as he gets older and deals with more surgeries. And so now we're back to that hype of Cam having the breakout year that is yet to happen. The Panthers drafted a quarterback in the third round of this year's draft. They said it was insurance for Cam if he gets injured again. But everyone gets the sense that they weren't just advertising the idea of insurance for Cam but that maybe it was also a message to Cam that 2019 may be now or never for him. The unfortunate truth is that Cam is slowly but surely losing his athletic ability. So we have to come to the conclusion that if Cam Newton doesn't become dominant this year, he may very well be replaced. Cam has to sprout into his full potential. He has to find a dominant but peaceful rhythm. If not, his career could spiral out of control. That's why it's now or never for        Mr. Cam Newton.

Watch: Plane passenger passes up Cam's offer of $1500 to swap seats

Former Auburn QB Cam Newton offered a passenger on a plane to swap seats with him for more leg room in exchange for $1500. But the guy said no!?

Senior Spotlight: Anfernee McLemore

Anfernee McLemore is a power forward for Auburn's Basketball team if you didn't already know. He's a strong defender and an all-around scorer. He can shoot threes and block shots. This year will be Anfernee's last year as an Auburn Tiger. He's likely to start for Bruce Pearl when the 2019 season starts. Anfernee is a new breed type of player. Many highschool and middleschool basketball players are modeling themselves into this new build. This build contains speed and height as well as an ability to play the small forward position and the power forward and center position. It contains a high shot percentage and a mobile build. Anfernee McLemore plays with mobility and speed as well as good shooting and strong post play. Anfernee reminds me a lot of Giannis Antetokounmpo. They are similar in size and style of play. Anfernee is 6'7 while Giannis is 6'11. I believe Anfernee will transition to the NBA well and prove as a strong weapon. But not only is Anfernee a strong athlete. He's a very smart and very nice person. In fact, he just recently got engaged to his girlfriend! Anfernee is a great person and Auburn is lucky to have him on their roster. He is a very talented student-athlete and he is a great teammate with great sportsmanship.
So congrats Anfernee on your engagement! #WarEagle #UnfinishedBuisness

Chuma Okeke selected 16th overall by Orlando in NBA Draft, Harper, Brown undrafted

Chuma Okeke heard his name called with the 16th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. For the first time since 2000, Auburn is back in the NBA! Okeke was given high praise by sports analysts everywhere and he also received a warm welcome by Philadelphia power forward Tobias Harris. Analysts suggest Chuma Okeke to potentially be the steal of the draft. The pick was surprising to many as Okeke was projected to be taken in the late 1st round or early second round. As for the two other Auburn stars, Jared Harper and Bryce Brown, they were surprisingly undrafted. But we have received reports that Brown and Harper have signed contracts with NBA teams. Brown agreed to sign with the Sacramento Kings while Harper ensured he'd play with the Phoenix Suns. So Jared Harper got a contract, but the player who committed the uncalled double dribble in the Virginia game, Ty Jerome, was drafted by the Suns in the first round. Jerome is probably the last player an Auburn player would want to play with. But we know Jared is a great teammate so they should get along. Congrats to Bryce, Jared, and especially Chuma! #AUNextLevel #WarEagle

Gus Malzahn hopes to identify QB by early fall

There's been no word on Auburn's QB progress but Coach Malzahn apparently wants the starting QB named by early fall. Joey or Bo? Soon we'll know.

Auburn falls 5-3 against Louisville to end historic run

Around 4:00 in the afternoon Tuesday, Auburn vs Louisville was put to a pause do to a rain delay. The game was set to resume five hours later at 9:00 PM. But the rain continued and the game was suspended until 11:00 AM the next morning. With Louisville up 4-1 the next day, Auburn was looking to add another miracle to its history. The game resumed in the bottom of the 5th and it stayed 4-1 for a while. A little later, Auburn scored again making it 4-2. But not long after, Louisville did too. Auburn missed out on a golden opportunity in the bottom of the 8th with basses loaded. Only to relieve the inning with the third and last out. In the bottom of the 9th, Auburn's last hope, Connor Davis hit a single home run pushing it to 5-3. But Rankin Woley struck out to end Auburn Baseball's historic run. There's no crying in baseball but this ending made you want to. And it brings you back to the question, what if Ryan Bliss hadn't had two errors on Tuesday? What if Edouard Julien hadn't made a wild throw vs Mississippi State? What If? But none the less, congrats to everyone on Auburn Baseball's team on a historic season. Especially those who won't be back. Good luck at the next level to all the Tigers selected in the MLB Draft. Auburn Basketball made it to the Final 4 for the first time in school history. Auburn Baseball achieved its goal of reaching the College World Series for the first time in 22 years. Will Auburn Football make a magical 2019 run? War Eagle always!

AU MEGA Sports Breakdown: Baseball stuff, FB recruiting, Disappointing decomittmemt

First of all, I'd like to apologize for no posts about any Auburn Sports news recently. That was due to a very tight schedule. So without further ado, the first ever AU MEGA Sports Breakdown.

Auburn Baseball made it to the world series recently as you probably heard as they took game three in a ridiculously high scoring game with a final score of 14-7. Auburn just lost 4-5 vs Mississippi State in a heart breaking bottom of the 9th comeback by MSU. Auburn will face Louisville in the losers bracket on Tuesday.

Auburn Football's 2020 recruiting class has finally hit it's stride. Auburn added 4-star outside linebacker Trenton Simpson along with 4-star OLB Cameron Riley and 4-star O-line man Tate Johnson. Auburn boosted from 29th in team recruiting rankings to 16th in team recruiting rankings. And guess what, Kobe Hudson, a 4-star WR has been Auburn's top player for months and months but with the addition of Trenton Simpson, AU has a new No. 1.

Richard Jubinor, a sophomore DE for Auburn, has reportedly hit the transfer portal. Jubinor was supposed to start in a year or two. I definitely wouldn't call it a smart move.

Highly rated 4-star PG Daeshun Ruffin, who literally just committed two weeks ago, has decommitted from Bruce Pearl's Tigers.

Auburn Hoops is locking in on 5-star PG Sharife Cooper for 2020. He continues to perform well and he's not slowing down.

AU Hoops Scoop

A 4-star 2021 point guard from Jackson, MS, committed to Auburn on Monday. Daeshun Ruffin is ranked 74th in the nation according to 247 Sports.

The NCAA has moved the 3-point line back to 22 feet, 1 3/4 inches. This is the international measurement. But don't worry Auburn fans. Most of Auburn's 3-pointers made weren't right behind the line. With Auburn Basketball, you have to defend the NBA 3-point line.

An incoming freshman has had surgery recently and is expected to miss only 2-3 months, which is no where near the start of the season. Tyrell 'Turbo' Jones will miss off-season workouts but this shouldn't be a big concern for the former 4-star point guard.

Justin Powell, the #1 player in Kentucky, committed to Auburn on Friday. The 3-star plays shooting guard despite being 6'5.

Auburn Sports Breakdown: AU lands hoops transfer, 3-star OT commits, 5-star hoops target visits once again

Big Cat Weekend is over and Auburn has to feel pretty good about it. Good recruiting news came in the two sports Auburn's known for. Let's jump into a pool of exiting Auburn news.

Javon Franklin, a JUCO transfer committed to Bruce Pearl's hoops squad. Franklin plays both small forward and power forward and is 6'7 and 190 lbs. His style is strong and physical. His dunk are powerful and will serve well as either a starter or a back-up. He reminds me of Malik Dunbar, a key player that helped Auburn to a Final Four appearance.

A 3-star O-line man committed to Auburn following BCW. Javion Cohen who's ranked 394th in the nation according to 247 Sports, announced his pledge to Gus Malzahn's Tigers. Auburn has advanced to 23rd in the nation with this commitment.

5-star power forward Brandon Boston Jr visited Auburn again. Auburn is battling Duke, Kentucky, and Florida to land Boston. Auburn would love to get Boston as he is the No. 8 player in the country according to 247 Sports.

Auburn Baseball pulled off a miracle walk off win against Georgia Tech. The Tigers beat GT 6-5 because of Steven Williams' home run that sent himself along with two others to score. #ThatOne'sForRod
