War Eagle! #RideForTheBrand

Armoni Goodwin commits to Auburn

4-star RB Armoni Goodwin committed to Auburn last week. We apologize for the late post. Goodwin is a 2021 prospect and is AU's first commit of 2021. Goodwin is from Hewitt-Trussville HS in Trussville, AL. He has a fast running style. Unlike former AU running back Kerryon Johnson and current Auburn running back JaTarvious Whitlow, Armoni Goodwin doesn't wait for a gap to open in the defense. He bolts through as soon as he gets the hand off. Goodwin is only two spots away from being a      5-star. He will either drop or rise soon. A big War Eagle goes to Armoni Goodwin. #RideForTheBrand

Jarrett Stidham is wearing No. 58 for the Patriots

Image result for jarrett stidhamThat's right, Jarrett Stidham is wearing No. 58 in New England. #58 isn't a QB number. It looks really weird too. But don't worry Auburn and Patriots fans. It's temporary. Stidham will only wear #58 until the preseason. Then he'll
likely change to #4.

Top 10 Tigers for 2019

1. Bo Nix/Joey Gatewood - QB - Freshman
Who ever starts at QB will be no. 1 on this list. It looks like it just might be Bo Nix.

2. Derrick Brown - DT - Senior
Derrick Brown is the anchor of this defense and without him, AU's defense isn't as good as it is.

3. Seth Williams - WR - Sophomore
Seth Williams put up great numbers for Auburn in 2018 as a freshman. He'll do even better this year.

4. JaTarvious 'Boobie' Whitlow - RB - Sophomore
Boobie is a monster when he gets the read option from the QB. He will wait for the hole just like Kerryon Johnson.

5. Nick Coe - DE - Senior
Nick Coe and Derrick Brown make a great duo off the snap. They will come crashing in like boulders.

6. Javaris Davis - CB - Senior
This will be Davis' year to step up and become the big leader for Auburn.

7. Noah Igbinoghene - CB/KR - Junior
Igbinoghene's speed provides a player who can play at WR, DB, or KR.

8. Prince Tega Wanogho - OT - Senior
Prince Tega Wanogho is often thought of as a top OT for 2019.

9. Shaun Shivers - RB - Sophomore
Shaun Shivers may be short but he certainly doesn't play that way. Don't believe me? Watch his 2018 highlights.

10. Zach Farrar - WR - Senior or Junior (we're not sure yet)
Farrar transferred from YSU in May and was a key addition to the Tigers offense.

#Memories #RIP Rod Bramblett

Tragedy strikes in Auburn, AL

On Saturday night around 6:00 PM in Auburn, AL, something happened. Something horrible, terrible, and shocking happened. Something that in the blink of an eye changed Auburn University forever. Rod Bramblett, the voice of the Auburn Tigers, along with his wife Paula, were killed in a rear-end car collision. A 16 year-old was involved in the crash but his name is yet to be announced. And I think most people think it best if it stayed that way. When I woke up Sunday morning, I looked on a website I look on quite often. I clicked the tab that said Auburn Undercover on 247 Sports. The picture of the top headline was of Rod Bramblett. For a split second, I wondered what the news was before reading the headline. When I finished reading it, the whole world felt silent and my heart sank. It felt very surreal. It was very hard to develop. Rod Bramblett, not only a radio play-by-play announcer, but a beloved Auburn man was gone just like that. At the time I'm writing this, it is Monday, May 27th. Two days after the incident occurred and it still feels surreal. In 2003, Rod Bramblett stepped in for Jim Fyffe who'd suddenly died of brain issues. People said there'd be no replacing Jim, and there wasn't. Jim Fyffe was the voice of Auburn before my time. So I never witnessed Mr. Fyffe's play-by-play announcing but I know that he was irreplaceable. When Rod stepped in, he knew he couldn't replace the great Jim Fyffe. But he could still be a beloved Auburn announcer. After a year or two, Auburn fans were used to Rod announcing the football games, the basketball games, and the baseball games. Rod Bramblett made some great memories at Auburn. Including, Auburn's great 2004 Football team, the "Go Crazy Cadillac" moment the Cam Newton era, a National Title in football, the Nick Marshall to Ricardo Louis miracle, the Kick Six, a great 2017 Auburn Football team, the 2017 Kerryon Johnson + Jarrett Stidham + Ryan Davis era, and most recently, the 2019 Auburn Basketball team. I know that Rod Bramblett was the definition of a true Auburn man. I know that I could call him a friend even though I'd never met him. I'm just a 12-year old boy who's passionate about AU and Auburn Athletics but I know that like Jim Fyffe, there will be no replacing Rod Bramblett. But I'm sure that who ever is Auburn's next radio caller, the fans will fall in love with him like they did with Jim and Rod. Memories will be made with this new play-by-play announcer and when his time is up, there will be no replacing him either. And for Paula Bramblett, many who knew her couldn't find very many people who they could say was kinder than Paula. She was part of the AU family and will always be remembered. I have to ask for everyone who reads this to pray and pray and pray for this family. Rod and Paula had two children and we ask that you don't cease to pray for them. Both there parents were taken from them in a heartbeat. I also want to give the kindest, warmest, most thankful Thank You to every non-Auburn fan base that offered support to the AU family. There are no words for how much your support means. It reminds us all that at the end of the day, we're all just people. We're all just regular people who have to lean on each other for support. With that said, Auburn will recover. Rod and Paula will never be forgotten. Rod and Paula Bramblett is a loss for the whole world. Rod's excitement is why Auburn is such an electric and passionate fan base. Paula's kindness showed everyone that in the long run, sports is just a game. In the post above I've made a group of videos from the greatest Rod Bramblett memories. Bramblett family, we're praying for you. Auburn Sports will use this tragedy as motivation. Auburn will use this to be better. To grow stronger. So with all of this said, R.I.P. Rod and Paula Bramblett and War Eagle!

Still no update on QB battle

Bo Nix looks great! Oh yeah, so does Joey Gatewood. No news on Auburn's QB battle has come out since it was narrowed to two. No news on if one of the QBs is gaining a slight advantage. And that's how it'll stay. Knowing Gus Malzahn, he won't let anything out about the situation until the battle is won. But it seems as if Auburn fans are gradually thinking Bo Nix. It just seems like without any thought, Bo Nix is simply creeping into fans minds. Even though no news has been released.

WR has never visited AU but has Auburn in top 5

Rico Powers Jr, a 4-star WR from Georgia, has Auburn in his top 5 schools. But the odd thing is, he's never actually visited AU. He may visit Auburn soon though. Auburn already has two 4-star WR commits for 2020.

Tigers take down Vols in SEC Tourney opener

Auburn Baseball defeated Tennessee 5-3 Tuesday night. In the top of the 9th inning, a UT player hit the ball far to the right and was about 5 feet away from being a home run which would've tied the game at 5-5. Auburn will face Vandy in double elimination today at 4:30 in Hoover, AL.

4-star QB sees fit at AU

4-star Hayes King, a QB from Longview, TX, is considering Auburn. In fact, an official visit may be coming from King soon. Auburn already has one QB commit in their 2020 class and may add another in Robby Ashford.

Why we think Robby Ashford is still trying to decide on who he'll pick

Robby Ashford, a 4-star QB from Hoover, AL, has yet to make his College Football decision. Ashford said he'd announce in early March. We are now closing in on the final days of May. Auburn is the favorite but we think we know why Ashford is still wavering between schools. Bo Nix and Joey Gatewood are freshman. If Ashford chooses Auburn, he'll likely have to wait until his senior year of college to start for Auburn and that's assuming Auburn won't pick up another star QB. Therefore, Ashford is trying to make the best decision for his college career.

What Auburn's getting in WR Zach Farrar

Auburn was able to land transfer wide receiver Zach Farrar recently. He is a 6-4, 210 lb big-bodied receiver. When 5-star wide receiver George Pickens flipped from Auburn to Georgia, fans were shocked. But the addition of Farrar looks like AU made up for it. He's only an inch shorter than Pickens and similar in weight. His highlights look very close to Pickens'. He will also be very experienced as he's been at 3 other schools in the past 3 years. He will have a slight advantage over young defensive backs that Auburn will face this year like Alabama's Patrick Surtain, Georgia's Tyson Campbell, and LSU's Devin Stingley. Farrar will likely start for the Tigers this season. If Bo Nix wins the QB battle, he and Farrar will likely have strong chemistry because Bo Nix and George Pickens had strong chemistry in football camps and Zach Farrar is similar to Pickens.

Jarrett Stidham, Darius Slayton unveil new numbers

Former Auburn stars QB Jarrett Stidham and WR Darius Slayton revealed their new numbers in NFL.com's photos of 2019 rookies in their new uniforms. Stidham will wear No. 4 for the New England Patriots  Let that soak in. It looks a little weird at first but eventually you'll get used to it. Slayton will wear No. 86 for the NY Giants.

Auburn Sports Breakdown: AU lands transfer WR, a whole bunch of Softball stuff, Auburn makes cut for 5-star guard

Tiger fans, the journey for a transfer WR is complete. On Saturday, Zach Farrar from Youngstown State committed to the Tigers. Farrar said he was exited about the role he will be in on the Plains. He fills a big need for Coach Malzahn's offense. With Ryan Davis now with the Patriots and Darrius Slayton playing with the Giants, maturity at WR was an issue for Auburn. But not anymore. Farrar, who's also been with Oklahoma and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College plans to also play baseball for Auburn.

Tigers Softball was a long story last week. Late Friday night, the Tigers took on Colorado State in the NCAA Tournament. All was well untill the top of the 5th inning. A Colorado State player was up to bat. Auburn pitcher Ashlee Swindle pitched a normal pitch not expecting what was about to occur. The player swung, hitting a line-drive ball that collided with Swindle's forehead. She lay face-down on the ground with her glove over her forehead. After the play was over, teammates and staff rushed over to assist the Junior pitcher. Swindle was eventually carted off and sent to a hospital. That night the Tigers got the W with a 10-5 victory. Early Saturday morning, Swindle was diagnosed with a concussion. She tweeted, 'Thank you everyone for all the texts and calls. I was blessed with great doctors. God is good❤️.' Later Saturday night, Auburn fell to Arizona 1-2. Then right after that, Auburn blew out Colorado State again 8-0. Auburn will again face Arizona tonight at 6:00.

5-star 2020 guard Brandon Boston Jr has named his top 4 schools and Auburn made the cut. Auburn along with Duke, Kentucky and Florida were included in BJ's final 4. Boston is good friends with Sharife Cooper, another 5-star guard who's highly expected to commit to Auburn. For now, Boston is leaning towards Duke but if Cooper commits to AU, that could be a different story.

AU Hoops is also in the running for 5-star PF Greg Brown. Brown also likes Kansas and Texas.

Around the SEC: Big news for MSU, 5-star names top 4 schools

                 AROUND THE SEC
Bringing you news from other SEC teams

Mississippi State landed a QB transfer from Penn State on Friday. Tommy Stevens, the 6'5 230 lb QB will play with his former offensive coordinator and now MSU head coach, Joe Moorehead. The situation looked right for Stevens as there was a chance to re-unite with his coach and compete for starting QB.

5-star RB Kendall Milton named his top 4 schools on Friday. They were Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Ohio State. Milton is a talented RB and the odds are good that an SEC team will land him.

5-star DE Myles Murphy from Powder Springs, GA, picked Clemson over Auburn on Friday. Murphy was ranked the No. 2 overall recruit by ESPN and the No. 8 overall recruit by 247 Sports.

Robby Ashford, a 4-star QB from Hoover, AL, was supposed to announce his decision in early March. Obviously, it is now May. Ever since late April, absolutely nothing has been heard about Ashford. He plays both football and baseball and was going to decide between Auburn and Georgia. When Ashford announces, if he ever does, he'll probably pick Auburn since Georgia's already landed 4-star QB Carson Beck.

NCAA Football 20? EA Sports say they'd be 'interested' in bringing it back. The game is harder to manage than Madden NFL but would still be a fan favorite.

Florida 4-star LB Diwun Black will not be attending Florida. Instead he will attend a community college. Black reportedly didn't academically qualify to get in to Florida. Black was 'very upset' that he couldn't stay in Gainesville. We wish the best to this young man. But the bad news keeps coming for Florida.

Alabama HC Nick Saban has offered a middle school prospect from Nevada. DeAndre Moore, a 5'11 WR in 8th grade was given his 6th offer from the biggest football program in the NCAA. DeAndre Moore must be a star considering that he has 6 offers in College already. This is the Tide's first 2023 offer.

Kentucky landed a transfer LB from FSU. Xavier Peters, a former 4-star recruit committed to the Cats recently. Peters redshirted in 2018 and will be playing for Bob Stoops in 2019.

Clemson RB Tavien Feaster may be transferring, but staying in South Carolina. Feaster is the back-up RB for the Tigers behind Travis Etiene. Feaster sees a fit at rival South Carolina. Will Muschamp would probably be leased if this rumor became real. The Gamecocks could use a RB like Feaster.

Tennessee guard Grant Williams has made his NBA draft decision. He will remain in the draft meaning he likes how his stock looks. UT will be rebuilding on the basketball team as their two best players are off to the NBA.

Vanderbilt guard Darrius Garland is highly expected to go in the top 5 of the NBA Draft. Garland compares to Kyrie Irving and NBA teams think very high of him.

If Auburn somehow does make a run for a spot in the SEC Championship this year, it won't be because of the offense

FUMBLE, SACK, HIT HARD! If you watch Auburn's 2019 Football games you'll hear those words shouted by the commentators. Auburn's season is loaded with SEC foes but if Auburn does what no one expects and beats them all and makes a run for the SEC Championship, give most of the credit to the D-Line. Auburn is loaded on the D-Line with NFL talent everywhere. LBs are a concern but otherwise, Auburn's D is golden.

Tiger Hoops Scoop: Jared Harper doing well at NBA Combine

Former Auburn point guard Jared Harper was taking part in the NBA Combine on Thursday. Harper was playing well as he played in a 5 on 5 scrimmage game. Scouts are skeptical about Harper's height but in his case, it's good. Because Harper's only 5'11, he can speed down the court in 3 seconds and score a quick layup. We'll see where Harper goes in the NBA Draft. Right now, he's proving height doesn't always matter.

QB Malik Willis to transfer

Junior QB Malik Willis plans to enter the transfer portal as he was named 3rd string QB behind RS freshman Joey Gatewood and true freshman Bo Nix. This is no surprise to Auburn fans because Willis had no chance of starting for the Tigers. Willis played back-up 2 years behind Jarrett Stidham but now has been placed behind 2 freshman. Willis will definitely be good if he retreats to a smaller college like Georgia State or Alabama State. Maybe even Middle Tennessee. All of us in the Auburn Family wish the best for Malik Willis and hope he finally finds a team he can lead.

Auburn Sports Breakdown: AU chases grad-transfers in Basketball and Football, will 2019 recruiting class get a 5-star?

Auburn has been chasing grad-transfers in both Football and Basketball. Auburn fell short of landing transfer guard Rayjon Tucker. Now they're trying their luck on USC guard Derryck Thornton. Auburn isn't listed the favorite but will make a push. The Tigers could use him as a SG or a PG. But he'd most likely be playing SG as Auburn is very thin at that position. You can view Thornton's stats here: https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/derryck-thornton-1.htmlAuburn is chasing a couple of receivers in football. The Tigers are currently in contention for USC WR Velus Jones Jr. who would be a great fit on the Plains. The Tigers are also going after West Virginia WR Marcus Simms. No one currently knows if he will be a regular transfer or a grad-transfer. He'd need a waiver by the NCAA to be a regular transfer meaning he'd be immediately eligible. You can view Jones' and Simms' stats here respectively: https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/velus-jones-jr-157.htmlMarcus Simms College Stats | College Football at Sports-Reference.com.

Will Auburn get a 5-star in their 2019 recruiting class? Right now the Tigers only have two 4-stars and zero 5-stars along with several 3-stars. The only 5-star the Tigers seem to be in contention for is DE Myles Murphy who likes Clemson, Auburn, and Georgia. Clemson looks very close to obtaining a commit from Murphy so will Auburn get a 5-star this year? And will they even get a recruit in the top 50? Honestly, right now it doesn't look great but we know things could change later on.

Joey or Bo? Joey or Bo? Who will be Auburn's QB? The battle is VERY even right now. Even though Joey Gatewood and Bo Nix have completely different styles, the battle couldn't be more tense. So which one will it be? Were less than 100 days away from finding out.

100 days 'till College Football!

We are now 100 days away from the 150th year of College Football! Celebrate football fans! That means less than 100 days 'till your team picks the starting QB, 100 days 'till your team wins or losses in the opener, and 100 days 'till your team starts to give everything to get in the conversation.

Top SEC game of every week for the 2019 College Football season

Week 1
Georgia @ Vanderbilt
Ok, this one has Georgia written all over it but note, this is the only SEC vs SEC game in week 1. With Kyle Shurmur gone for Vanderbilt, Georgia should dominate this game in a blow out win. Final Score Prediction: Georgia 40 Vanderbilt 0

Week 2
Arkansas @ Ole Miss
Once again, the only SEC vs SEC game of week 2 but this one should be interesting. Two teams with new QBs going head to head. But in the end, we think Arkansas can dominate on the road with QB Ben Hicks. And besides, Ole Miss lost all three starting WRs, their starting TE, and their starting QB.
Final Score Prediction: Arkansas 24 Ole Miss 17

Week 3
Florida @ Kentucky
Now we're talking! This match-up will be awesome. A rising Kentucky team vs a hungry Florida team. UK lost RB Benny Snell, EDGE Josh Allen, and CB Lonnie Johnson Jr. But Kentucky still has QB Terry Wilson and it looks like other players are definitely stepping up. But Florida led by QB Felipe Franks, is boasting with talent. Overall, Florida takes down the Wildcats.
Final Score Prediction: Florida 31 Kentucky 21

Week 4
Auburn @ Texas A&M
This match up will be one you don't want to miss. Avenging Auburn vs top notch Texas A&M. Auburn boasts a brick wall D-Line and scrappy freshman and sophomores on both sides but Texas A&M boasts lots of experience and a No. 4 ranked recruiting class. But we think Auburn can extend its record to 4-0 and upset the Aggies in a low-scoring slug fest.
Final Score Prediction: Auburn 17 Texas A&M 14 (overtime)

Week 5
Kentucky @ South Carolina
These are two teams that have similar styles. But have two different QBs. Dual-threat Terry Wilson will face pocket-passer Jake Bentley. Both QBs want to lead their teams to a victory here. So, who wants it more? We think Kentucky can escape.
Final Score Prediction:  Kentucky 24 South Carolina 21

Week 6
Georgia @ Tennessee
This match-up has been deadly over the years. By now, UT could have something going but is it enough? Georgia is loaded on the O-Line but weak at receiver and running back. Tennessee is, well, who knows? They could be good this year but then again, they could be bad. They knocked off Auburn and Kentucky last year so the expectations are some-what high. Overall, Georgia gets away in an unexpected fight.
Final Score Prediction: Georgia 17 Tennessee 10

Week 7
Alabama @ Texas A&M
While Florida & LSU was tempting, this potential game of the year was just irresistible. This one will be awesome to watch. The hungry Aggies vs the daunting Crimson Tide will be one for the ages. Hold on tight College Football fans. UPSET ALERT! Bama goes down in OT!
Final Score Prediction: Alabama 40 Texas A&M 43 (overtime)

Week 8
LSU @ Mississippi State
The Bulldogs will probably have fallen apart at this point. And the Tigers aren't gonna make it better. After this year, Joe Moorehead shouldn't be coach. The case for this game is pretty simple. LSU takes the W.
Final Score Prediction: LSU 31 Mississippi State 13

Week 9
Missouri @ Kentucky
Yeah, Auburn and LSU is pretty exiting but Missouri may or may not be on a role right now so this counts. Kelly Bryant is playing good right now and MU has the power to grasp revenge on the Cats for making a game winning TD as the clock ticked down to 0.00. Kentucky has no Josh Allen or Benny Snell, so for now, the Tigers clinch a W.
Final Score Prediction: Missouri 24 Kentucky 13

Week 10
Georgia @ Florida
Georgia looks dominant right now. But so does Florida. The Gators have to be happy that they have the home-field advantage. The Gators are LOUD. REALLY LOUD. And here's the thing. Jake Fromm isn't that good when it's LOUD. Don't believe me? 2017 Georgia @ Auburn. You know it was loud there. Guess what happened. SACK, SACK, SACK. 2018 Alabama vs Georgia SEC Championship Game. It was a clutch 3rd down and guess what happened. You guessed it! Nearly a fumble. And there's a whole lot more where that came from. So Georgia losses here. C'MON MAN!
Final Score Prediction: Georgia 24 Florida 35

Week 11
Alabama @ LSU
This one will be a barn burner. Last year it was a shut-out W for Tua and the Tide. Well, this year's different. It's a close game but is it an upset for LSU? Who would like a trip to the SEC Championship more? The answer is Alabama.
Final Score Prediction: Alabama 40 LSU 28

Week 12
Georgia @ Auburn
The deep south's oldest rivalry is always one to watch. Whether it was the Nick Marshall to Ricardo Louis Hail Mary, or the 28-7 victory for the Bulldogs in the 2017 SEC Title. There's no better match-up than Bulldogs and Tigers. So will Auburn pull off a major upset or will the Dawgs pound the Tigers? Auburn QB Bo Nix has fully developed. Jake Fromm throws 2 picks and gets sacked 4 times. So Auburn ends the Dawgs' 2 game streak.
Final Score Prediction: Georgia 17 Auburn 31

Week 13
Texas A&M @ Georgia
Georgia is wounded by the L vs Auburn here. Texas A&M is on a rampage. Can the Dawgs suck it up and get a W? Kellen Mond has never been better than he is right now. Georgia's known for not giving in. I think it's a high scoring OT win for Georgia.
Final Score Prediction: Texas A&M 42 Georgia 44 (overtime)

Week 14
Alabama @ Auburn (The Iron Bowl)
Oh boy! How do you predict the unpredictable? That's the one word that defies this game. Unpredictable. Let that soak in. Anything, literally ANYTHING can and will happen. Auburn has made its self known in the top 20 but can they actually do what they did 6 years ago to the day? Can they beat Alabama in high definition? The answer is....
Who knows? I'm not making a prediction on this one because it's too unpredictable.

Auburn Sports Breakdown: Huge AU Hoops target commits to Memphis, Auburn OG tears ACL, Softball falls to Florida

A major Auburn grad-transfer target committed to Penny Hardaway's Memphis Tigers over the Auburn Tigers and the Kansas Jayhawks. Rayjon Tucker, a 6'5 grad-transfer from Little Rock was interested in Auburn who made a hard push to get him. Once again the Tigers miss out on a grad-transfer that would've changed the program. The Tigers missed out on QB Kelly Bryant who chose Missouri over Auburn in football. Yes, Tucker picked the Tigers, just the wrong Tigers. This is what Auburn's current roster looks like.

Starters
PG - J'Von McCormick* - Senior
SG - Jamal Johnson* - Sophomore
SF - Samir Doughty* - Senior
PF - Danjel Purifoy - Senior
C - Anfernee McLemore - senior
Back-up
PG - Tyrell 'Turbo' Jones - Freshman
SG - N/A
SF - Isaac Okoro - Freshman
PF - Jaylin Williams - Freshman
C - Austin Wiley - Senior
Others
Babatunde Akingbola - C - Freshman, Allen Flanigan - SF - Freshman, Myles Parker - G/SF - Sophomore

Auburn offensive guard Austin Troxel tore his ACL recently meaning, he's done for the season. He was probably going to start this year. Auburn may reach into the transfer portal and grab a grad-transfer guard.

Auburn Softball had a strong run in the SEC but fell short of the finals with a 3-0 loss to Florida on Friday. But Auburn has nothing to be a shamed of as they took out No. 2 seeded Tennessee on Thursday.

Auburn Baseball lost the series 2-1 vs #7 Georgia. To even get a W vs the Bulldogs is tough and Auburn managed to do it. They did it in style too. Watch the video to see the dramatic ending of Auburn vs Georgia game 2.

Can former Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham be the next Patriots sensation? We've got 2 or 3 years 'till Tom Brady retires. That's just enough time for 2019 4th Round draft choice Jarrett Stidham to develop. He'll get to play behind the G.O.A.T of Football which is great. So can Mr. Stidham be the man for Bill Belicheck after Tom Brady says goodbye? It may be too early to tell, but the odds are really good.

Top 10 Auburn players of all time

10. Ronnie Brown - RB - LA Chargers
As the #2 pick in the NFL Draft in 2005, Brown never quite lived up to the hype that he did on the lains. But he was a speedster at Auburn and he's just another reason Auburn is RB University.

9. Kevin Greene - LB - Pittsburgh Steelers

Breaking: Gus Malzahn narrows the QB battle down to 2

Auburn HC Gus Malzahn has announced that the Auburn QB battle has been narrowed down to 2. Apparently it's down to redshirt freshman Joey Gatewood and true freshman Bo Nix. This was no surprise to the media. Here's what Malzahn said: "We left spring ball — Joey GatewoodBo Nix are really 1, 1A. One of those two guys will be our starting quarterback for our first game. They’ll compete during the summer and during fall camp and we’ll make a decision. Cord Sandberg we felt like did some really good things. We really think he’s going to get better and better. And of course Malik Willis at the same time competed well. But those two guys really separated themselves, and looking forward to seeing who wins the job."
