Auburn HC Gus Malzahn has announced that the Auburn QB battle has been narrowed down to 2. Apparently it's down to redshirt freshman Joey Gatewood and true freshman Bo Nix. This was no surprise to the media. Here's what Malzahn said: "We left spring ball — Joey Gatewood, Bo Nix are really 1, 1A. One of those two guys will be our starting quarterback for our first game. They’ll compete during the summer and during fall camp and we’ll make a decision. Cord Sandberg we felt like did some really good things. We really think he’s going to get better and better. And of course Malik Willis at the same time competed well. But those two guys really separated themselves, and looking forward to seeing who wins the job."
