Around the SEC: Big news for MSU, 5-star names top 4 schools

                 AROUND THE SEC
Bringing you news from other SEC teams

Mississippi State landed a QB transfer from Penn State on Friday. Tommy Stevens, the 6'5 230 lb QB will play with his former offensive coordinator and now MSU head coach, Joe Moorehead. The situation looked right for Stevens as there was a chance to re-unite with his coach and compete for starting QB.

5-star RB Kendall Milton named his top 4 schools on Friday. They were Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Ohio State. Milton is a talented RB and the odds are good that an SEC team will land him.

5-star DE Myles Murphy from Powder Springs, GA, picked Clemson over Auburn on Friday. Murphy was ranked the No. 2 overall recruit by ESPN and the No. 8 overall recruit by 247 Sports.

Robby Ashford, a 4-star QB from Hoover, AL, was supposed to announce his decision in early March. Obviously, it is now May. Ever since late April, absolutely nothing has been heard about Ashford. He plays both football and baseball and was going to decide between Auburn and Georgia. When Ashford announces, if he ever does, he'll probably pick Auburn since Georgia's already landed 4-star QB Carson Beck.

NCAA Football 20? EA Sports say they'd be 'interested' in bringing it back. The game is harder to manage than Madden NFL but would still be a fan favorite.

Florida 4-star LB Diwun Black will not be attending Florida. Instead he will attend a community college. Black reportedly didn't academically qualify to get in to Florida. Black was 'very upset' that he couldn't stay in Gainesville. We wish the best to this young man. But the bad news keeps coming for Florida.

Alabama HC Nick Saban has offered a middle school prospect from Nevada. DeAndre Moore, a 5'11 WR in 8th grade was given his 6th offer from the biggest football program in the NCAA. DeAndre Moore must be a star considering that he has 6 offers in College already. This is the Tide's first 2023 offer.

Kentucky landed a transfer LB from FSU. Xavier Peters, a former 4-star recruit committed to the Cats recently. Peters redshirted in 2018 and will be playing for Bob Stoops in 2019.

Clemson RB Tavien Feaster may be transferring, but staying in South Carolina. Feaster is the back-up RB for the Tigers behind Travis Etiene. Feaster sees a fit at rival South Carolina. Will Muschamp would probably be leased if this rumor became real. The Gamecocks could use a RB like Feaster.

Tennessee guard Grant Williams has made his NBA draft decision. He will remain in the draft meaning he likes how his stock looks. UT will be rebuilding on the basketball team as their two best players are off to the NBA.

Vanderbilt guard Darrius Garland is highly expected to go in the top 5 of the NBA Draft. Garland compares to Kyrie Irving and NBA teams think very high of him.
