Auburn falls 5-3 against Louisville to end historic run

Around 4:00 in the afternoon Tuesday, Auburn vs Louisville was put to a pause do to a rain delay. The game was set to resume five hours later at 9:00 PM. But the rain continued and the game was suspended until 11:00 AM the next morning. With Louisville up 4-1 the next day, Auburn was looking to add another miracle to its history. The game resumed in the bottom of the 5th and it stayed 4-1 for a while. A little later, Auburn scored again making it 4-2. But not long after, Louisville did too. Auburn missed out on a golden opportunity in the bottom of the 8th with basses loaded. Only to relieve the inning with the third and last out. In the bottom of the 9th, Auburn's last hope, Connor Davis hit a single home run pushing it to 5-3. But Rankin Woley struck out to end Auburn Baseball's historic run. There's no crying in baseball but this ending made you want to. And it brings you back to the question, what if Ryan Bliss hadn't had two errors on Tuesday? What if Edouard Julien hadn't made a wild throw vs Mississippi State? What If? But none the less, congrats to everyone on Auburn Baseball's team on a historic season. Especially those who won't be back. Good luck at the next level to all the Tigers selected in the MLB Draft. Auburn Basketball made it to the Final 4 for the first time in school history. Auburn Baseball achieved its goal of reaching the College World Series for the first time in 22 years. Will Auburn Football make a magical 2019 run? War Eagle always!
